Press release from the Department of Corrections:
At 9:26 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, resident Kevin Marshall, DOC No. 1145450,
confined at South Central Correctional Center, was pronounced dead at Cox Medical
Center South in Springfield, Missouri.
Marshall was a 48-year-old resident serving a twenty-year sentence for one count of
driving while revoked/suspended from Randall County, one count of first-degree assault
on a law enforcement officer, one count of second-degree unlawful use of a weapon,
one count of second-degree burglary, one count first-degree tampering with a motor
vehicle and one count of resisting arrest while fleeing from Monroe County.
Marshall was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on Oct 19, 2015.
An autopsy will be conducted.
