Man Arrested in Nov. Transported to Baxter County to Face Charges

Mountain Home, AR. – A man who was arrested in November of last year for breaking into vending machines and writing hot checks has been identified and transported to the Baxter County Jail to face his charges.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Joshua Hicks, 41, was caught in Van Buren County after his slew of break-ins to multiple vending machines on the same day. In Mountain Home, Hicks broke into two vending machines in the Cranfield area, and one more at the Mountain Home Inn.

Originally, the identity of the culprit was kept from the public as investigation continued, revealing Hicks had committed similar crimes in not only Baxter County, but Clark, Cleburne, Hot Spring, Howard, Montgomery, Pike, Pulaski, and Van Buren counties.

Hicks is still currently being held in the Baxter County Jail as of March 16th, and awaits prosecution.
