The Moose Riders of Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will hold their 11th annual “Blessing of the Bikes” on Saturday, May 17. This beloved tradition coincides with a similar event at Mooseheart, the Moose organization’s child-focused community near Chicago.
The festivities will take place at the Moose Lodge on Highway 5, about two miles south of the bypass. The day’s events include a motorcycle poker run, cornhole and pool tournaments, and a live auction. The poker run begins at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine. A pulled pork sandwich lunch will be served at the lodge starting at 1:00 p.m., with proceeds going to support local charities.
The first $2,025 raised will benefit the children of Mooseheart, with the rest aiding various community causes. The family-friendly event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact the lodge at 870-491-5696 after 2:00 p.m. daily.
