Local residents will have the chance to step up to the plate and save lives during a special blood drive on Friday, June 6, at Mountain Grove Mennonite Church. As part of the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks’ Bleed Red promotion, successful donors will receive a Springfield Cardinals baseball T-shirt and a voucher for two free tickets to an upcoming Cardinals game, while supplies last.
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church gymnasium located at 6900 Old Hwy 60.
This drive supports more than 40 hospitals across the Ozarks, including Texas County Memorial Hospital, Mercy Springfield, and CoxHealth South. Each donation can save up to three lives.
“Bleed Red is a powerful way for the community to come together and make a lasting impact,” said Springfield Cardinals General Manager Dan Reiter.
Donors are encouraged to schedule appointments at www.cbco.org/donate-blood or by calling 417-227-5006. Photo ID is required. Donors should eat well and stay hydrated before giving.
