Mountain View, MO. – The City of Mountain View recently approved in a recent meeting changes to their billing system. The city issued an official statement on these changes, which can be read below.
Section 69.100 Billing Procedure
All users shall be billed monthly. Payments are due when billings are made. Any payment not received by the 15th of the month shall be delinquent. Any delinquent bill shall be subject to a late payment penalty equal to 10% of the total amount owed.
If any bill continues to go unpaid after 4:30 PM the business day before the shut-off date listed on the utility bills, the service to that account shall be charged a $40.00 fee and will be subject to disconnection. Said $40.00 fee must be remitted to the City of Mountain View, Missouri, in cash prior to restoration of utility services.
When payment on any City utility account is returned for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) for the Third (3rd) time, the outstanding utility balance for said account, including the amount returned for NSF, will be required to be paid in cash from that date forward.
