Mountain View Missouri Develops Storm Shelter Registration Form

From the City Clerk of Mountain View:

In response to citizens of Mountain View requesting the need/want to register their Storm Shelters with Emergency Services, the City of Mountain View Emergency Management Office has developed a “Storm Shelter Registration Form. This form when filled out by the home/business owner will offer invaluable information during times of disasters. Currently the form is only available on paper, but as we move forward with the demand anticipated we are looking forward to finding a technological venue for this information.

When The City of Mountain View receives this information, the information will be stored in the Mountain View Fire Station and a copy will be maintained in the City of Mountain View Emergency Management Office. This allows for pinpoint location of Storm Shelters in City of Mountain View and Mountain View Fire District. This process is free to the Citizens of Mountain View and is strongly encouraged to take the time to fill out the Registration.  Additionally, the City of Mountain View will pursue an avenue to place this information on a 911 Mapping system if the citizen requests on the Storm Shelter Registration Form.

Citizens may pick up a hard copy of Storm Shelter Registrtation Form at City Hall.
