Shortly after 1:00 p.m. yesterday, the Thayer Fire Department, working alongside the Thayer Police Department Drone Team, Oregon County Ambulance, Oregon County Sheriff’s Office, and Air Evac Lifeteam, responded to Grand Gulf State Park after an individual suffered a broken leg at the bottom of the gulf.
The rugged terrain made access difficult, requiring coordinated teamwork, specialized resources, and clear communication among all agencies. Thanks to their combined efforts, the patient received prompt care and safe transport.
Officials extend sincere gratitude to all responding agencies for their professionalism, dedication, and continued commitment to serving the community. Their teamwork made a critical difference when it mattered most.
