Ozark Marketing is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part Time Sports Board Operator to join its broadcasting team, with training provided for the right candidate. This role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality live and pre-recorded sports broadcasts to listeners across the region.
The Board Operator is responsible for running the audio control board during live games, monitoring audio levels, managing commercial breaks, and ensuring smooth transitions between segments. The position also involves coordinating with play-by-play announcers, producers, and engineering staff, troubleshooting technical issues in real time, and recording, editing, and posting game highlights. Additional duties include writing and posting game summaries to OzarkRadioNews.com and maintaining FCC compliance throughout broadcasts.
The seasonal schedule begins with football coverage from August through November on Friday nights from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. Basketball season follows from November through April, with two to three evening shifts per week, typically lasting two to two-and-a-half hours. Tournament coverage during the holidays may require additional hours.
