Tuesday evening, at approximately 8 o’clock pm, Jacob Lowell Smith was apprehended by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Paragould Police Department, Arkansas State Police and U.S. Marshals in Greene County. Smith had an outstanding warrant for absconding.
Smith is also person of interest in the murder of two Fulton County residents. Many agencies involved have spent countless hours over the days since the discovery of the
crime. Smith will be held in Greene County Detention Center for the time being.
Investigative work is ongoing, and the case is still open.
