Pomona, MO. – On June 22nd of 2022, Deputy Seth Smith of the Howell County Sheriff’s Department arrested an individual who attempted to escape, and was ultimately arrested.
According to a probable cause statement of the arrest, Deputy Smith arrived at a residence with the intent to arrest a man who was wanted for multiple felony cases and hadn’t attended his court hearings.
Jacob Evans of Pomona had been previous charged with multiple felonies: 2nd Degree Burglary, 1st Degree Property Damage, and 4 counts of stealing, but found himself with Failure to Appear and Resisting Arrest after attempting to flee from the Howell County Deputy, and refusal to comply with arrest when confronted.
Deployment of a taser was needed for apprehension of the subject, and Evans was afterward arrested without incident.
