Thursday, deputies from the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office participated in an active threat response drill at Summersville R-II Schools. “The safety and security of students, staff, and schools remain one of my highest priorities as your Sheriff” stated Shannon County Sheriff Hogan.
He continued, “We extend our sincere appreciation to School Resource Officer Ashlock for the invitation and for his continued dedication to protecting our children. We also thank the Summersville School Administration for their cooperation and commitment to ensuring a safe learning environment”.
The safety of students is non-negotiable. Training and preparation save lives, and we the Shannon County Sheriff’s Department will continue to partner with the schools to ensure every child has a safe place to learn.
