Shannon County to be 911 Capable at the end of Next Week

The Shannon County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that the Shannon County Central Dispatch is tentatively scheduled to go live by the end of next week, making Shannon County officially 911 capable for the first time.
 
This achievement marks a major milestone in improving emergency response and public safety for our citizens. Once operational, all emergency calls will be routed through a centralized, fully integrated 911 dispatch system, allowing for faster response times, clearer communication, and better coordination between law enforcement, fire, and EMS services.
 
This is a historic moment for Shannon County. Becoming 911 capable brings us up to modern standards and ensures our citizens have direct, immediate access to help when they need it most. It’s a reflection of the cleanup, progress, and dedication happening across our county operations.
