Texas County Memorial Hospital (TCMH) has reached a new milestone in patient satisfaction, with outpatient ambulatory surgery scores rising by five percent over the past six months—earning the hospital a spot in the 87th percentile among peer hospitals in a seven-state region.
The news was shared during the hospital’s recent board of trustees meeting by April Crites, TCMH’s Director of Quality and Risk Management. Crites highlighted that this accomplishment places TCMH among the top 15 percent of 2,335 hospitals that use Press Ganey patient satisfaction surveys—a strong indicator of TCMH’s dedication to improving patient experience and maintaining excellence in surgical care.
“Achieving this level of patient satisfaction is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our surgical team and support staff,” said Crites. “We’re proud to provide not only quality outcomes, but also compassionate, patient-centered care.”
Press Ganey, a leading healthcare performance improvement company, collects and analyzes feedback from patients following their procedures. At TCMH, outpatient surgery patients receive these surveys after their surgeries, giving the hospital valuable insight into the patient experience. The data is then used to identify strengths, address areas needing improvement, and ultimately drive better outcomes and higher satisfaction.
