A 16-year-old girl from Sparta, Missouri, sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway BB, approximately 8 miles south of Seymour, on Tuesday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred when a 2022 Ford F-250, driven by a 56-year-old man from Seymour, failed to yield and pulled into the path of a northbound 2008 Dodge Avenger driven by the juvenile. The Avenger struck the towed unit of the Ford F-250.
The teen driver was not wearing a safety device and was transported by private vehicle to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Her vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Ed’s Towing of Mountain Grove.
The driver of the Ford was uninjured and drove away from the scene.
