On Saturday, September 27, 2025, deputies responded to a residence in Texas County following a report of a domestic disturbance involving threats of violence.
According to the victim, Joshua Coble threatened to stab her in the throat during a phone call with the mother of his child regarding a parental kidnapping warrant. The victim stated Coble held a black or gray knife within arm’s reach and made a forward stabbing motion while issuing multiple threats.
Deputies located Coble seated on the front porch and advised him he was under arrest. Coble refused to comply and resisted efforts to detain him. During the struggle, deputies observed Coble’s hand move toward Corporal Ryan’s service weapon. A distractionary strike and neck restraint were used to safely gain control.
Coble was placed in hand restraints and transported to the Texas County Jail. The knife described by the victim was recovered inside the residence near the front door. Charges are pending.
He is facing charges of Tampering with a Witness, Unlawful use of a Weapon, Armed Criminal Action, and Resisting Arrest.
