Houston, MO. – According to a recent release from the Texas County Sheriff’s Department, a woman from Houston was arrested for assault after beating someone with a broom.
This began on Saturday, May 25th, just after midnight when Texas County Deputies responded to Texas County Memorial Hospital to speak with the victim of an assault. According to the victim’s testimony, they had been beaten by a female with a broom several times, to the point where the broom had broken.
The suspect was identified as Tina M. Dow, 53 of Houston. Deputies responded to the residence where the event had occurred and a witness there corroborated the story. Dow was found at a different residence and resisted arrest when being informed she was being taken into custody.
Dow is being held in the Texas County Jail on a bond of $3,000. Arrest charges include 2nd Degree Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest for a Felony.
