The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on State Highway W in Dora on the night of February 12, leading to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs and multiple firearms.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Sgt. Aaron Box, deputies and Ava Police officers served the warrant at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the home of 43‑year‑old Michael Wayne Guy. Investigators reported finding Guy exiting a bedroom and another man, identified as Sammy Eugene Grisham, in the living room.
During the search, officers located a baggie containing a white crystallized substance in Grisham’s pocket. A field test indicated the substance was methamphetamine. Grisham also told deputies he had a handgun in a bag near the couch, where officers later recovered a black P80 9mm pistol with no serial number. Three additional firearms—a .22 rifle, a .270 rifle, and a .243 rifle—were also found in the living room.
In Guy’s bedroom, deputies located a Ziploc baggie containing a white powder that field‑tested positive for cocaine. A Palmetto State Armory AR‑10 rifle was also recovered from the room. Guy told investigators he was unaware of the cocaine and said multiple people had access to his residence.
Both men were taken into custody and face allegations of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 579.015 and multiple counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon under RSMo 571.030 for possessing a firearm while knowingly possessing a controlled substance.
Deputies seized the suspected narcotics, firearms, and several cellphones. Their bond was set at $2500.00 each
