Two Ozark County People Facing Drug Charges After Search Warrant Executed

On October 31, 2025, the Ozark County Circuit Court authorized a search warrant for a Gainesville residence, including its outbuildings, vehicles, and surrounding property. The warrant targeted suspected manufacturing, possession, and distribution of controlled substances, specifically methamphetamine, methadone, and related drug paraphernalia.

The Ozark County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Team (S.E.T.) executed the warrant at approximately 8:54 p.m., encountering multiple adults and young children on the property. Among those contacted were Donna Smith, the property owner, and Michael McMillan, who stated he resided in the garage. Both were taken into custody.

In the garage, deputies observed and seized two glass smoking devices containing white crystalline residue and eight hydrocodone tablets, all without prescriptions. Field tests confirmed the presence of methamphetamine.

A systematic search of the main residence revealed:

  • 12 empty and 15 filled methadone prescription bottles in Smith’s name
  • Multiple baggies containing white powder (pending lab analysis)
  • Drug paraphernalia including plastic straws, a gift card, mirror, and silicone container—all testing positive for methamphetamine
  • Numerous plastic baggies consistent with drug distribution

Inside Smith’s white SUV, deputies located:

  • A purse containing methamphetamine-laced paraphernalia
  • A spiral notebook with names and dollar amounts, believed to be a drug ledger
  • Methadone tablets without prescriptions
  • An unidentified green pill sent for lab testing

Donna Smith and Michael McMillan were transported to the Ozark County Jail.
