Around 5 a.m. Monday morning the Howell County Sherriff’s Office responded to a suspicious vehicle at the Saddle Club Arena concession stand in Caufield.
When the deputy arrived he located a black Hyundai Sonata that was not registered. The probable cause statement says he checked the door to the concession stand, which was unlocked and ordered anyone inside to exit the building.
A male identified as Colby Crossley and a female named Sasha Ledbetter came out and were detained. A knife and syringes were found on Crossley. When the deputy asked why they were inside they stated that they were hungry and looking for food. They stated that the door was unlocked but they were prepared to break in if needed. A hatchet, cutters, and fencing pliers were found in the vehicle and believed to be items to be used for break in. Both parties were arrested for burglary and other charges and were taken to the Howell County Jail.
