UScellular Turns on New Cell Sites in Six Missouri Counties

Jefferson City, Mo. (July 15, 2025) – UScellular recently installed six new cell sites that provide additional bandwidth and capacity serving customers in Clark, Howell, Knox, Monroe, Oregon and Texas Counties. They will enhance cellular coverage across nearly 1,200 square miles, providing essential connectivity for residents and public safety officials. These network upgrades are part of a $7.9 million grant awarded to UScellular from the Missouri Cell Towers Grant Program to enhance mobile connectivity across the state.

In total, UScellular plans to build 15 new towers across Missouri through this program and continues work on the 9 other awarded sites that are expected to be completed later this year.

 

Once completed, the additional towers will improve voice and messaging quality and increase data speeds on UScellular’s network in parts of the following 21 counties: Adair, Audrain, Clark, Howell, Knox, Laclede, Lewis, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Oregon, Ozark, Pike, Pulaski, Ralls, Randolph, Schuyler, Scotland, Shelby, Texas and Wright.

 

The Missouri Cell Towers Grant Program is managed by the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) and funded through the American Rescue Plan Act. It is focused on investing in the expansion of cellular service statewide.
