The West Plains Aquatic Center is making a splash this summer as it prepares to open its doors on Monday, May 26. Located inside People’s Park on West Broadway Street—just across from Butler Children’s Park—the Aquatic Center is a highly anticipated destination for families and swimmers of all ages.
The facility features two separate pools: a zero-entry pool designed for children, complete with a mushroom fountain, kids slide, and a large water slide; and a lap pool equipped with two new diving boards and a mechanical lift for accessibility. New this season, concessions will be provided by Glass Sword Cinema, offering a selection of snacks and cold refreshments to keep guests fueled and refreshed.
The Aquatic Center will be open from 12 PM to 5 PM on Monday through Wednesday and Friday through Sunday, with extended hours from 12 PM to 8 PM on Thursdays. Opening day also marks the beginning of private rental reservations.
