From the Douglas County Sherriff’s Department:
Yesterday (May 21st) at approximately 1800 hours, Douglas County Deputies responded to a residence to arrest a female on felony Douglas County Warrants.
The female fired several shot at the Deputies, and subsequently, the female suspect was shot by Douglas County Deputies. The suspect is currently in the hospital in critical condition. Both deputies were unharmed, and as a matter of routine, they were placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, which is being conducted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office. Christian and Douglas County Deputies have been on the scene throughout the night and are still currently processing the scene.
