Willow Springs Teen Injured in Early Morning Crash on U.S. 160

A 19-year-old male from Willow Springs was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning, July 4, on U.S. Highway 160, about five miles west of West Plains.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 1:17 a.m., when the teen’s 2016 Chevrolet Sonic ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by J&J Recovery at the officer’s request.

The crash was investigated by Master Sergeant T. Meyer of Troop G.
