Winona, MO. – A traffic stop earlier in the month in the Winona area led to the discovery of methamphetamine, and the arrest of the pair in the vehicle.
In the evening hours of May 17th, a traffic stop was initiated by Sergeant Manning of the Shannon County Sheriff’s Department. The traffic stop was started as a result of the drivers lack of use of a turn signal, but quickly shifted into an investigation due to the suspicious actions of the driver and passenger.
A search and suspect interviews produced multiple objects containing methamphetamine, leading to the arrest of both individuals, Cody Willamson and Keisha Sanders, both of Winona.
In an official address of the arrest, Shannon County Sheriff Steven Hogan had this to say:
“Let me be clear—illegal drugs have no place in Shannon County. If you choose to deal, distribute, or possess dangerous substances, we will find you, and we will put you behind bars. The safety and well-being of our residents—especially our children—will not be compromised by the reckless actions of those who bring drugs into our communities. This office remains committed to aggressively pursuing felony drug offenders and protecting our citizens from the harm they cause.
