SQUIRES, Mo. — Two Douglas County residents were arrested early Tuesday morning, April 21, 2026, following the execution of a narcotics search warrant in the Squires area, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Chris Degase reported that deputies served the warrant April 21 off JJ Highway, where methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and firearms were seized.

Taken into custody at the scene were Crystal Prock, 44, of Squires, and her brother, Damon Riley, 46, of Squires. Both were placed on a 24-hour hold.

Authorities said a warrant was issued for Prock on charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Due to what officials described as an extensive criminal history, Prock’s bond was set at $50,000 cash only.

Riley faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Officials noted Riley is a convicted felon currently under supervision by Probation and Parole. His bond was set at $15,000 cash only.

Degase credited the Ava Police Department for assisting with the warrant service and commended Sgt. Aaron Box for his work on the investigation.

“We are committed to fighting this battle with those who use and sell illegal narcotics in Douglas County,” Degase said.

All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
