Mountain Home, AR. – A former Baxter County woman has been arrested on a felony Theft of Public Works charge following a referral by the General Counsel of Workforce Services of Arkansas. The referral alleges that Linda G. Sadowski, age 59, had gained unemployment insurance benefits through fraud.
The investigation notes Sadowski had fraudulently gained these benefits by failing to correctly report work and income earned between June 2020 and March 2021. She had been working part-time during this period and had not reported it, resulting in overpayments of $19,227.96.

Sadowski was initially arrested in Wisconsin and has since been transferred to the Baxter County Jail.
