On August 30, 2025, at approximately 6:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance near Missouri Avenue involving a man and woman engaged in a physical altercation inside a parked vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers observed Heather Southerland and a male subject arguing inside a 2007 Pontiac Grand Am. According to statements from both parties, the dispute stemmed from comments about Southerland’s ongoing custody battle. The confrontation escalated when Southerland allegedly struck the male victim in the face and attempted to hit him with a metal water bottle. Officers noted visible injuries on the victim’s face and neck consistent with scratches.
Although the victim declined to press charges, Southerland was identified as the primary aggressor based on observed injuries and her own account. A warrant has been issued for her arrest on charges of Third Degree Assault.
