WEST PLAINS, Mo. — A West Plains resident was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon after the vehicle he was driving hit a tree.
The Highway Patrol says 17-year-old John Long’s vehicle failed to negotiate a curve before the 12:12 pm accident southeast of West Plains on Highway ZZ.

Long was taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains before later being flown to Mercy hospital in Springfield by Air Evac.
