Wright County voters took part in a special election on Tuesday to fill the vacancy of Sheriff after the retirement of Sonny Byerley. Since November 1st Kristi Akers has been interim Sheriff for the county.
B.J. Adler won the special election over a small number of write-in votes. He is the son of former Wright County Sheriff Glen Alder.
