The St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit is investigating a house fire that critically injured a man one day after a woman was shot to death inside the same home.
Johanna Kimple, 20, was killed Wednesday during an argument at the home in north St. Louis County. Javion Smith, 19, was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

St. Louis County police say someone dropped off a male burn victim at a hospital early Thursday. His name and age were not released, but police describe his injuries as life-threatening.
Police say the man was injured in a fire that broke out around 5 a.m. in the same home where Kimple was killed. Detectives and the bomb and arson squad are investigating to determine if there is a connection.
