Ozark County Sheriff Reports Recent Arrests

OZARK COUNTY, Mo. — The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests during December, involving incidents that occurred throughout November. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

An unnamed female suspect was arrested Nov. 11 after allegedly destroying another individual’s cellphone the day after being released on bond from a separate case. According to the sheriff’s office, the incident occurred on Nov. 4 and resulted in a felony warrant for a new law violation while on bond. The suspect was located and arrested by Deputy Phelan and Deputy Lane.

Robert Kelley was arrested following multiple felony warrant services during November. Deputies initially arrested Kelley on Nov. 7 for an active felony warrant after he failed to obey a judge’s orders. He spent several days in jail before being released by court order. On Nov. 26, a second felony warrant was issued for Kelley for again failing to comply with the judge’s orders.

Deputies located Kelley and conducted another warrant service. During the arrest, a firearm was observed in plain view. Kelley is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms. The firearm was reported stolen out of Taney County and was recovered by deputies. A search warrant was obtained for the residence, during which deputies located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Kelley was booked into jail on charges related to the warrant, possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Nov. 14, Deputy Moss and Deputy Ryan conducted a subject stop in Theodosia. The individual, identified as Wanita Moffite, was found to have an active felony warrant. She was arrested and booked into the Ozark County Jail.

On Nov. 19, Deputy Lane, Deputy Ryan, and Deputy Moss conducted a warrant service at a residence in Gainesville for James Bliss, who had an active felony warrant. Bliss was located, arrested, and booked into jail.

Also on Nov. 14, Newt Soulder was arrested. Charge information was not listed at the time of reporting.
