Graveside Services for Frances LaChapelle, Age 81 of Shreveport, Louisiana and formerly of West Plains, Missouri will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 in The Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains, Missouri, beginning at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held in The Rose-Chapel of The Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, beginning at 1:00 PM and preceding the Graveside Service.
Frances “Francy” Herberta LaChapelle, 81, Shreveport, Louisiana, formerly of West Plains, Missouri, returned home with the Lord at 12:10 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
She was born on May 17, 1944 to William Patrick Conger and Clara Katherine Sutton. On March 9, 1974 she married her forever soul mate Frank LaChapelle. They were married in the Los Angeles LDS temple for all time and eternity. Of this union, 1 son and 2 daughters were born. Francy brought 4 daughters into the marriage. Together they raised those 7 children in West Plains, Missouri. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for her entire life. She loved to serve others. She spent the majority of her working career as a cook. It was a passion. Francy loved to create. From a meal to crochet to a quilt. Her handmade gifts were always a treasure as we know it was made out of love.
She is survived by seven children, Susan Farnsworth-McCarter, Kathy Robinson, Teresa Farnsworth, Annette Berry, Aaron LaChapelle, Jennifer Marsh, and Amber Amos. Francy is also survived by many many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is her loving husband, one son (John Farnsworth), her parents, brother (Vernon Conger), and sister (Delsie Hearn), and two very special grandchildren (Jenna Hoglen and Roy Jaggers).
