Glendal grew up in Mountain View and graduated from Mountain View High School in 1946. She married new veteran Fred Randle, also from Mountain View, in 1948. As newlyweds, they moved to Ulysses, Kansas. This union was blessed with six children: daughter, Linda Binney of Ulysses, KS; daughter, Nancy Liebman (Richard), of Philadelphia, PA; daughter, Joyce Ward of Gardner, KS; daughter, Julia Callahan (deceased); son, Harold Randle (Kaye) of Hot Springs, AR; and son, Duane Randle, of Hugoton, KS. Glendal was loved and will be missed by her children as well as 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, also numerous nieces and nephews.

Glendal and Fred made a loving home in Western Kansas for 41 years, raising their family, developing lifelong friendships, and becoming part of the community. Her Christian faith was an important part of her life, a long-time member of Shelton Memorial Christian Church and Women’s Ministry in Ulysses. In 1989, they moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, enjoying camping, boating, gardening, making new friends, traveling, and visits from family.

Being “Mom and Grandma Randle” was one of Glendal’s greatest joys, savoring tender moments with babies and enjoying the pleasure of their company as adults. A dedicated mother, she shared the power of a mother’s devotion and grace. Her gentle soul and sweet disposition touched all whose paths she crossed. Sharing with a generous heart was one of her finest traits passed down from her mother and on to her children. Cooking and baking were another joy, everything from nourishing meals for family to sharing baked treats with family and friends. Cardinals were always special to her; she enjoyed watching them in the bird feeders as well as watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

Glendal was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 72 years, Fred; daughter Julia Callahan; brother Michael Grant; sisters Lucille Sharp and Annette Garoutte; and sons-in-law Cary Binney and Bob Callahan.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the many caring people in Glendal’s life, including Quapaw Care and Rehabilitation, especially the loving staff on 3 Hall, in Hot Springs, AR, and Arkansas Hospice.
