June Copas, 81 years, 11 months, 30 days old, passed away on June 2, 2025, at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, with her family by her side.
On June 3, 1943, June was born in Ava, Missouri, to Eddie and Lola (Medlock) Ridenour. She was one of ten children.
June was a Christian and attended Sandy Church when she was able.
June married Larry Copas on September 30, 1983 in Ava, Missouri.
June enjoyed fishing, music, and casinos. She liked watching NASCAR. She loved spending time with her grandchildren most of all.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Lola; her husband, Larry Copas; eight siblings, Lowell Ridenour, Howard Ridenour, Jerry Ridenour, Richard Ridenour, Gregory Ridenour, Donna Sue Emerick, Kathy Darlene Downs, and Peggy Ridenour; one great-grandson, Chasetyn Nash; and one great-granddaughter, Finnley Lane.
She is survived by her children, Julia Erwin, Jeri and James Clark, Jan and Dean Linder, and Robert Edward Copas; brother Eddie Dean and Barbara; grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah Lane, Judy and Nicholas King, Cody and Kelly Merriett, Dustin and Sarah Merriett, Shane Merriett, Andy and April Nash, Morgan and Bill Davis, Jacob and Hailey Lane, Samantha Copas, and Alex Copas; great-grandchildren, Drake King, Blake King, Dayton Nash, Boston Nash, Faith Lane, Thomas Lane, Tytus Lane, Archer Lane, Miley Miller, Remington Lane, Chevy Lane, Anthony Merriett, Ciara Piercy, Stevie Merriett, Payton Merriett, Westyn Merriett, Caseyn Merriett, Shyanne Merriett, Eliza Merriett, Tanner Merriett, and Grady Merriett; great-great-grandchildren, Ledger King, Paisley Lane, Elias Piercy, and Eliana Piercy; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for June will be Friday, June 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 PM to service time. Burial will be in the Whites Creek Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Neal Crum. Memorials may be made to VFW Post 5993.
