Alabama held off a late Missouri rally to win 27-24 in front of a sellout crowd of 57,321 at Memorial Stadium. The Crimson Tide converted two key fourth downs late in the game to extend their lead to 10 points before Missouri closed the gap with a quick scoring drive. The Tigers had a chance to tie the game in the final minute, but quarterback Beau Pribula was intercepted by Dijon Lee Jr. to end the threat. The loss snapped Missouri’s 15-game home winning streak and eight-game overall streak, while also marking the team’s 18th consecutive sellout, tying a school record.
Missouri outgained Alabama 330-325 but struggled on third down, converting just once in 10 tries. Pribula threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns and led the Tigers in rushing with 61 yards, while Ahmad Hardy and Jamal Roberts combined for 102 yards on the ground. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson finished with 200 passing yards and three touchdowns, despite being sacked four times. The Tigers next travel to Auburn on October 18, with kickoff set for either 6 or 6:45 p.m. Central on ESPN or the SEC Network.
