Tuesday night at Mumford gymnasium in Willow Springs the Bears were at home taking on a very good Alton Comets team.
The Bears are state ranked #9 in class 4; while the Alton Comets sit at #3 in the state for class 2.
In the first half, both teams fought for the lead, with the Bears coming out ahead at the half by a score of 30-24.
The second half of the game, Willow Springs steadily increased their lead and go on to win by a score of 55-46. Leading scorers for the Bears were Owen Duddridge with 20 points and Scotty Osborne with 14.
Up next for the Bears will be the Blue & Gold Tournament in Springfield. First game for the Bears will be on Monday, December 27th, as they take on Central in an early 9:30am start time.
