Freddy Fermin and Kyle Isbel both recorded a pair of hits and a solo home run in the setback. Starting pitcher Jonathan Bowlan was charged with his first loss of the season after he allowed four runs in less than three innings of work. The Royals fell to 17-and-13. They will visit the Blue Jays again tonight. Left-hander Cole Ragans is slated to start opposite Toronto righty Jose Berrios.
