Blues sign defenseman Fowler to three-year extension

The St. Louis Blues have signed defenseman Cam Fowler to a three-year contract extension. Fowler, 33, was acquired in a trade from Anaheim in December 2024 and quickly became a key contributor, finishing last season with 36 points in 51 games, ranking 10th among NHL defensemen and fourth in even-strength scoring. He also set a franchise playoff record for points in a single series by a defenseman with 10. A former first-round pick of the Ducks, Fowler has appeared in more than 1,000 career NHL games, recording 493 points and adding 43 more in the postseason.

The Blues lost their preseason game at home Saturday to the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2. The Blues host Dallas on Tuesday.
