Cardinals 6, Rockies 2

The St. Louis Cardinals opened up their series against the Colorado Rockies with a 6-2 win from Coors Field. Willson Contreras hit a go-ahead single in the top of the fifth to put the Cardinals on top for good. Contreras also homered in the victory, while Michael McGreevy earned his second win after allowing two runs on seven hits in seven innings. St. Louis is tied for third place in the NL Central at 52-and-49.
