The Cardinals sent their fans home happy following an 8-5 win over the Marlins in the team’s home opener from Busch Stadium. St. Louis trailed by two runs in the bottom of the seventh until Nolan Gorman and Alec Burleson doubled-in runs as part of a five-run frame. Giovanny Gallegos got the easy win after recording one out in relief, while Ryan Helsley tallied his second save of the season. The Cards are 4-and-4 on the season. Jake Burger slugged a pair of solo homers for Miami and Josh Bell also went yard. Sixton Sanchez suffered the loss in relief as the Fish are still winless on the year at 0-and-8.
