Eagles 20, Chiefs 17

The Kansas City Chiefs dropped to 0-2 after a 20-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City managed just 294 total yards, with Patrick Mahomes throwing for 187 yards and rushing for 66 and a touchdown. The Chiefs played without suspended receiver Rashee Rice and injured rookie Xavier Worthy, leaving Mahomes with limited options in the passing game.

Kansas City briefly led in the first half after Mahomes scrambled for a touchdown, but mistakes proved costly. A missed field goal in the opening quarter, a failed fourth-and-1 attempt in the third, and an interception at the goal line in the fourth shifted momentum. The Eagles capitalized with two late scoring drives, and despite a 49-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes to Tyquan Thornton in the closing minutes, the Chiefs could not recover the onside kick. The loss marked Kansas City’s first 0-2 start since 2014 and its first home defeat since late last season.
