Mizzou 52, Louisiana

Mizzou kept rolling at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, pounding Louisiana 52-10 in front of a sold-out, sun-soaked crowd. The win makes it 13 straight at home for the now 23rd-ranked Tigers, and they did it behind a monster performance from running back Ahmad Hardy.

Hardy, a transfer from Louisiana-Monroe, carved up the Ragin’ Cajuns for 250 yards and three touchdowns on just 22 carries. That’s the top rushing total by any FBS player this season and the seventh-best single game in Mizzou history. He didn’t even touch the ball after the early third quarter.

Mizzou racked up 427 yards on the ground, their first 400-yard rushing day under Eli Drinkwitz and first since 2017. Freshman Marquise Davis added 113 yards and a touchdown of his own.

Quarterback Beau Pribula had a steady day, shaking off an interception to throw for 174 yards and two scores while also running one in. Kevin Coleman Jr. led the receivers with eight catches for 84 yards.

Meanwhile, the defense smothered Louisiana, holding them to just 121 total yards — including only four passing yards on two completions. The only big play the Cajuns managed was an 82-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Mizzou led 38-10 at halftime and never looked back. Hardy’s early touchdowns set the tone, and Davis closed the show in the second half.

The Tigers now sit at 3-0 heading into next week’s SEC opener against No. 11 South Carolina in Columbia. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN.
