Florida Panthers beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in Game 6 to Win Back-to-Back Stanley Cup Titles

The Florida Panthers repeated as Stanley Cup champions by beating the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in Game 6 of the final on Tuesday night, becoming the NHL’s first back-to-back winners since Tampa Bay in 2020 and ’21.

Sam Reinhart scored four goals, becoming just the fourth player in league history to get that many in a game in the final.   Matthew Tkachuk scored the Cup clincher.

At the other end of the ice, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced. The only goal came from fellow Russian Vasily Podkolzin in garbage time, long after the outcome was decided.

Panthers forward Sam Bennett was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner as the most valuable player in the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs.

The veteran led the NHL playoff field in goals scored (15) and was tied for second among Panthers in points (22) through 23 games, which included five goals and six points in the Final.
