The Mountain Home Bombers Boys and Girls cross country teams have won state championships for the first time in school history.

Missouri Cross Country state championship results individual runners. Class 1 boys Landon Street 5th overall from Van Buren. Daniel Tomlinson 9th overall from Dora. Van Buren boys cross country team finished 2nd Class 1 girls Jayden Chambers 1st overall from Norwood. Dora girls finished 2nd and Alton girls finished 5th overall. Girls class 3 Lyla Huffman finished 6th overall. Class 4 boys Joseph Roberson finished 7th overall, Zizzer boys team took 1st and back to back state championships. Girls class 4 Kaebrynn Gunter placed 2nd, and the Lady Zizzers finished 2nd.
High School football district championship games for Friday night. Class 4 district 6 West Plains will host Carl Junction game will air on KDY 102.5. Class 2 district 3 Liberty will host Forsyth game will air on The Fox 96.9. Class 1 district 3 Thayer will host Marionville. Class 3 district 5 Mountain Grove will host Clever.
