2026 MSUWP Grizzlies vs State Fair Roadrunners
Today, the MSU-WP Grizzlies faced off against the State Fair Road Runners in a region 16 conference game. The first quarter showed strong offence from both sides of the court, with high scores from both teams.
The Road Runners showed to have slower defense, but managing a stronger offense, with both teams staying neck-and-neck with one another in score as half-time approached. The Grizzlies managed to pull ahead just before the half-time buzzer, taking the lead. Going into half-time, a 40 to 37 lead for the Grizzlies was the score.
As the second-half began, the Grizzlies maintained the pressure on the Road Runners, allowing them to keep their lead. However, the Road Runners managed to push their offense further, knocking the Grizzlies off-balance and allowing them to close the gap, and eventually overtake the Grizzles with less than five minutes left on the clock.
With roughly only two minutes left, the game remained tied. However, the Grizzles began to give ground away to the Road Runners, allowing them to be overtaken by two points with only 20 seconds remaining. With some last minutes fouls in place, the game endd with a Grizzlies loss, 81 to 76.
