1st Quarter: Tip controlled by the Russellville Indians but lost. Liberty tries to make a move but taken back and put in by Senior Rhett Fisher. Taken back by Liberty and ball put up and in for two by Paxton Hunter. A 2-2 tie to start the ballgame.
A three pointer by Carter Ellett follows as Liberty is doing a good job on rebounding and passing in the early going.
Liberty also blocks a scoop shot attempted by Senior Jackie Lake for The Russellville Indians. A foul and Ellett Shoots two more on the line.
Another block and a good scoop shot by Draydon Wells as Liberty has the lead 8-3 with just under
Wells goes to the line on the next foul on Lake for Russellville after he makes one and Liberty continues to lead by two 9-7 with under a minute to go.
Russellville keeps trying for a three but no luck as Liberty is beating them into the paint.
At the end of one, Liberty Eagles lead the Russellville Indians- 16-10.
2nd Quarter: Liberty makes several substitutions going into the second eight minutes including bringing in Alex Tune.
Eagles start having issues blocking Senior guard, Ian Larison who makes a two as well of a field goal as they continue to trail Liberty by as few as four with under five minutes to go.
But Liberty ends up scoring two more from Paxton Hunter and Alex Tune.
For Russellville; Ian Larison and Freshman Andrew Eickhoff are able to score two easy jumpers towards the end of the half to keep cutting into the lead.
Last shot tried by Draydon Wells but falls short.
HALFTIME- Liberty Eagles: 25/ Russellville Indians: 18
3rd Quarter: A good two by Paxton Hunter for Liberty to start the second half. Larison for Russellville tries to block the next move on defense for the Eagles, nearly gets fouled by shoots another two pointer as Liberty continues to lead by seven, 27-20.
Russellville continuing to foul and this is giving Liberty plenty of time at the free throw line as Hunter makes a trip as well as Draydon Wells.
Rebound off Wells’ free throws, another baseline shot by Paxton Hunter. Liberty with an eleven point lead now, 34-25 with under two minutes to go.
What Liberty has yet to do in the second is shoot a three of their own and this is made by Parker Tune with under 1:25 to go.
Another floater shot by Alex Tune with around 30 seconds. Russellville tries for the last shot and another made by Larison.
At the end of three, Liberty has the lead 41-34.
4th Quarter: Parker Tune shoots another two to start the last eight minutes. In the next possession by Russellville, Larison manages to make another three.
Liberty begins to fall apart with foul trouble and missed three attempts and not rebounding.
