John Mozeliak steps aside as President of Baseball Ops for the Cardinals

John Mozeliak stepped down Monday as the Cardinals’ president of baseball operations, closing the book on a long run that started with World Series glory but ended with three tough years of falling short.

During his time with the organization, Mozeliak was part of two World Series titles (2006 and 2011), four National League pennants, 17 playoff trips, and an incredible streak of 15 straight winning seasons from 2008 to 2022. His success set the bar sky high, but in recent seasons the Cardinals just couldn’t get back to that level.
