Zizzers Earn Thrilling OT Win Behind Cox’s Golden Goal

The Zizzer soccer team came out firing Tuesday night, wasting no time as Malakai Coy found the net just 24 seconds into the match. With dominant possession and sharp execution, the Zizzers built a 2-0 lead by halftime, looking firmly in control. But the second half told a different story. A determined and skilled Viking squad clawed their way back, scoring twice and shifting the momentum in their favor to send the game into overtime. Refusing to let the comeback rattle them, the Zizzers regrouped and showed poise under pressure. Then, with less than a minute left in the first overtime period, Hudson Cox stepped up for a free kick from 40 yards out—and delivered in spectacular fashion. His perfectly placed strike sailed over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net for a walk-off golden goal winner, sealing a dramatic 3-2 victory.
