In its 146th game against the league, the 23-point win surpasses the team’s previous high of a 22-point victory against Illinois in 2022.

MIZZOU LEADERS
Five players in the Black & Gold reached double figures in the winning effort.

Senior Mark Mitchell led the team with 18 points to go with six rebounds and a career-best six assists. Graduate student Jacob Crews tallied 14 points on the night with a team-leading eight rebounds and four triples.

Sebastian Mack matched Crews with 14 points of his own, going 5-of-8 from the field. Graduate student Jayden Stone also added 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting, while junior Anthony Robinson II rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points and two 3-pointers.

GAME RECAP
The Tigers and Golden Gophers exchanged baskets early in the game, with Sebastain Mack scoring the first eight points for the Tigers. However, Minnesota soon went on a 7-0 spurt to give them a 17-8 lead a quarter into the contest.

Mizzou found a way to claw back late in the first half, tallying a 13-3 run capped off by a triple from Robinson to give the Tigers a 25-24 lead, their first of the game. The lead then swapped twice, but a couple late free throws by Robinson gave Mizzou a 32-30 advantage going to the break.

The Tigers flexed their dominance in the second stanza. After exchanging the lead eight times throughout the first seven minutes, it was all Mizzou after that. Leading by two, 42-40, Mizzou used a 14-0 run to take control of the game. Highlighting the stretch was an eight-point possession – featuring a triple from Luke Northweather with an off-ball foul, an and-1 basket from Mitchell, an offensive board on the free-throw attempt and another triple from Crews – as Missouri grabbed a 56-40 lead.

MU would lead by as many as 25 points the remainder of the game, sealing the 23-point victory and largest over a Big Ten school.
