Royals 4, Padres 3

The Royals staged a late comeback to beat the Padres 4-3 in their series finale from Kansas City. The team trailed 3-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning until Nelson Velazquez laced a two-run triple to tie the game. Nick Loftin stepped up and launched a walk-off, sacrifice fly to complete the comeback. Vinnie Pasquantino also drove in a run, while Will Klein won in relief. Kansas City is still second in the AL Central at 36-and-25. The Royals are off on Monday and open a series against first place Cleveland on Tuesday. The Royals are four games behind the Guardians
